Final Work One: Riki
1240 × 1358
I chose this piece of work because I feel that this specific piece is when all these works became so much more personal than me. Riki is the name of my best friend that passed away on 21st June 2015, the date stated on the right. The date on the right is my birthday, 3td March 1998. And this shape represents my happiness. In relation to the dates, when I was born is when I feel like the happiness in my life was born. And on the 21st June 2015, I feel is when my happiness, as I knew it, died. Since then, I’m happy but in a different way to what it was before the 21st June 2015. I would say that this piece of work is the most personal individual piece of work I’ve created.
Final Work Two: taxi drive (2 of 2)

This image is one of the most beautiful images. Without the title and time stamp I feel like it reflects the pureness of this moment. In this moment, they had no idea that I was taking photographs whereas moments later they both noticed me but I was already able to capture the rawness. Them not knowing I was taking photographs and having this over-exagerated reaction that looks staged, is what makes this image so pure and beautiful to me. There is a transparency to the image.
Final Work Three: twentyone
‘twentyone’ is a Zine that I wish to carry through whatever our next assignment is. The title is a nod to the date that changed my life; 21st June 2015. The zine serves a greater purpose than just something I made for this assignment; I’ve used the format to deepen my understanding of how my mind works, how I view things in my mind compositionally and spatially, and who I am. The position, placement and layout of all the contents are purposefully done in that way because that’s how I view them in my creative headspace. Over the zine’s 26 pages, is an insight into my mind in a much deeper way that a single piece of work.
This is just issue 1, I hope that in upcoming assignments I can generate another zine per assignment to show my headspace clearly
